Fatal single vehicle crash near Meaford under investigation

A fatal crash that claimed the life of a Chatsworth resident is under investigation.

Grey Bruce OPP say at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, officers responded alongside Grey-Bruce Emergency Services to a collision on 16 Sideroad between 11th and 12th Line in Meaford Township.

After arriving at the scene, emergency crews found a vehicle that had left the roadway and sustained heavy damage. The lone vehicle driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the collision is being investigated. Police had the road closed for several hours.
