Workplace fall leaves 20-year-old with life-threatening injuries

A 20-year-old is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a workplace accident in Flesherton.

Emergency crews were called about the incident at a property on Durham Street around 2:35 p.m. on Monday.

The 20-year-old worker from Mount Forest fell roughly 20 feet while working at that location, suffering life-threatening injuries, Grey Bruce OPP said. The employee was taken to local hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in London for further treatment.

Police did not name the workplace involved in the incident.

The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation, police said.
