Threats involving weapon result in charges against man in Goderich

Huron County OPP have laid numerous charges against an individual after threats involving a weapon.

According to police, on August 29 just after 3 p.m., officers were called about an individual who reportedly made threats involving a weapon on Victoria Street South in Goderich. 

Officers came to the scene and found the individual in question, and arrested them, finding an imitation handgun loaded with pellet ammunition on the accused.

As a result, a 25-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of breach of recognizance.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
