The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) paid CK $443,141 for hosting Cascades Casino Chatham.
The amount was the total for the third quarter of the fiscal year, which was between October 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. The payment was slightly more than the $439,029 earned over the summer months.
The first three quarters of OLG's fiscal year has seen $1,324,212 go to the municipality.
"OLG's Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Chatham-Kent to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents," said Trevor Jones, MPP for Chatham-Kent-Leamington. "Gateway Casinos Chatham supports numerous jobs and generates significant economic activity that, in turn, enhances the well-being of our local community."
OLG pays all communities that host gaming sites across the province. Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
Since Cascades Casino Chatham opened its doors in 2001, Chatham-Kent has received $19,123,677.
