Southern Ontario to see high wind gusts on Friday

You may see some things blow around outside if you head out on Friday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for all of southwestern Ontario.

Forecasters predict that strong winds will likely begin late Friday morning and persist until late Friday night.

Gusts of 70 kilometres per hour are likely, though there's a chance some areas may see up to 90 kilometres per hour.

A low-pressure system moving across northeastern Ontario is to blame.

Environment Canada says wind warnings may be issued if conditions warrant.
