No injuries in transport truck fire

No injuries were reported after flames engulfed part of a transport truck on Friday afternoon.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue said crews were called to Jackson Road, near Telfer Road.

Firefighters were quick to "knock down the flames" and prevent it from spreading to the connected trailer, read a Facebook post.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

At 4:38 p.m. Sarnia Fire and Rescue said crews were expected to clear the scene shortly.

A 65-year-old man was taken to the hospital with head and shoulder injuries after a transport truck carrying corn went off the road and into the ditch in the Tilbury area Tuesday morning.
