One person was taken to hospital after a boat caught fire in a London laneway.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Woodman Avenue near Dundas Street in Old East Village around 5 p.m. on Thursday. Crews arrived to find flames coming from the boat on a trailer that was parked in the driveway. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
Paramedics had to take one person to hospital with unspecified injuries, the London Fire Department said on social media.
The heat from the fire was so intense it melted the siding of the home it was parked beside.
Damage is estimated at $150,000.
A fire investigator is probing the origin, cause, and circumstance of the fire, the fire department said.
