Wallaceburg woman arrested after stabbing
A 26-year-old Wallaceburg woman is facing a pair of charges after she allegedly stabbed another woman.
Officers said they arrested her after they were called to Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday and found a woman there with "serious puncture injuries."
Police said they learned that the woman who was injured had been hurt by another woman who allegedly assaulted her with a knife.
The victim was taken to the hospital for medical attention and the 26-year-old woman accused of stabbing her was arrested.
She is currently charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Harwich Township woman arrested after family dispute call
A 34-year-old Harwich Township woman spent some time sobering up in police custody early Wednesday morning after officers were called to intervene in a family dispute.
CK police said they were called to an address in Blenheim at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday and found a woman there who was causing a disturbance while "highly intoxicated."
Officers arrested her and took her back to police headquarters where she was set to be held until she sobered up.

Suspended driver caught idling at an intersection while impaired
A 30-year-old Chatham man who wasn't supposed to be driving in the first place is now facing impaired driving charges.
Police said they made the arrest after receiving a report about a vehicle that was seen idling at an intersection in the area of Gladstone Avenue for an extended period of time shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers said when they found the vehicle, they believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol, adding that he refused to cooperate with a roadside breath test.
The driver was arrested, charged with impaired driving and refusing to comply with a demand and later released with a future court date.
Police said the man was also issued a court summons for driving with a suspended license and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
